Perfectly Potty Adult Throwing Course

This 5 week course is aimed at all aspiring potters from complete beginners to those with some experience. Please call to discuss this if you're not sure of your level. The group will be small, with only 4 people on their own wheel for the duration of the course.
I will be available throughout each session to guide you through the process and provide a demonstration but all your work will be entirely yours to keep and be thoroughly proud of.
The sessions will be run as follows;
- Week 1 - Throwing a selection of bowls either as a matching set or of varying sizes
- Week 2 - Turning and trimming the thrown bowls, adding footrings and texture
- Week 3 - Throwing mug bodies, hoping to make a matching set of similar shape and sized mugs
- Week 4 - Turning and trimming the mugs, making and attaching handles
- Week 5 - Glazing everything you have made during the course, using my extensive range of glazes and underglazes
All your pieces will be fired and ready to collect within 2 weeks of the last session
The cost for this course is £250 and includes all tuition, materials, tools, glazes and firing.
Payment must be made in full, by bank transfer, at time of booking and is non-refundable. Unfortunately, no refund will be made if you miss a session.
Courses are run on Tuesday evenings (6 to 8:30pm) and Friday mornings (9:30 to 12) . Please call or email Melissa for upcoming dates.
